What's the 411 on side effects?Mild swelling and bruising are the most common side effects and are completely normal, typically subsiding quickly. You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions to help speed up the healing process, along with an aftercare pack that includes Arnica Gel to minimise any potential bruising. If you’re prone to cold sores, please note that lip injections may occasionally trigger a breakout.

What are Dermal Fillers?Dermal fillers are injectable treatments made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body. They are used to enhance volume, contour, and shape in various areas of the face, including the lips, cheeks, and jawline. Dermal fillers can also smooth out wrinkles and lines, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines) and marionette lines (from the corners of the mouth to the chin). Additionally, they can reduce the appearance of dark under-eye circles and perform a liquid rhinoplasty, which involves refining the nose by smoothing bumps or lifting a drooping nasal tip. While dermal fillers deliver long-lasting, transformative results, they are not permanent.
-
Should I do anything before my appointment? To achieve the best results, it’s recommended to avoid blood-thinning medications like ibuprofen and aspirin, as well as Vitamin E, Omega supplements, and alcohol for 48 hours before your appointment. These substances can increase the risk of bruising and swelling. Do let us know if any of the above has been done for us to reschedule your appointment with us.
-
How long do dermal filler last? The longevity of dermal filler results varies depending on several factors, including the filler’s viscosity (thicker fillers are typically used for areas like the cheeks and jawline), individual hydration levels, physical activity, and how quickly the body metabolises the filler. On average, lip fillers last 6 to 12 months, while facial fillers can last 12 to 18 months. To maintain optimal results, touch-up treatments are generally recommended every 6 to 12 months.
